Department of Labor (DOL) and Department of Defense (DoD) are committed to military spouses and want to ensure their access to the education and resources needed for good jobs and career pathways in the 21st century economy.

The Military Spouse Career Advancement Account (CAA) Demonstration Project is a full and collaborative partnership among DOL, DoD, and the following entities in the workforce and military systems:

  • State Workforce Agencies
  • Military Services
  • State Workforce Investment Boards (WIBs)
  • Military Installations
  • Local WIBs
  • Voluntary Education Centers
  • One-Stop Career Centers
  • Family Support Centers

Voluntary Education Centers and Family Support Centers

Military installation Voluntary Education Centers and Family Support Centers will determine spouses' eligibility, and will help spouses with career and education guidance, and with skill assessments and other related resources and services.

One-Stop Career Centers

One-Stop Career Centers will administer the Career Advancement Accounts, and will help spouses with career and education guidance, and with skill assessments and other related resources and services.
