You may think that you do not need a resume when applying for a temporary job. However, resumes are important when applying for all jobs.

• Resumes show that you are organized and have a professional attitude, which gives the employer a good impression.
• Resumes allow employers to easily scan your skills and experience to get a picture of your work abilities.
• Resumes also serve as a reference sheet to use when filling out an application for the position.

If you have never created a resume, or if it has been a few years since you created your last resume, you may not know where or how to begin. You will need to do some research to learn what is important to put into a resume and how to write and format a resume that will impress an employer.
