Step 1 - Determine My Skills
As you might expect, the first step to finding your first job is to discover who you are and what you want to do. What do you enjoy? What do you do well? What did you always want to do when you got older?
These questions can help you start thinking about occupations you might enjoy or skills you might like to use. Taking an inventory of your skills and interests can help you find the occupations and careers that interest you.

- O*NET Skills Search - This is a basic skills search matching your skills to occupations.
- CareerOneStop Skills Profiler with Gap Analysis - Get a profile of your skills then choose an occupation of interest. Comparing your skills to this occupation will help you to determine which skills you are missing or where might need additional training before pursuing that occupation.
