Visual design
This site uses cascading style sheets for visual layout.
- Multiple style sheets are available including High Contrast, Low Graphics, default (fixed width version) and full screen (fills the full width of your browser, useful for very large screens). These may be accessed at the bottom of every page of the site. (Please note: when the MilSpouse Online Help (via the "Need Help" link in the main navigation bar) is open, these alternative style sheets may not work properly based on your browser's security settings. If you find that you cannot change the style sheet while the help is open, close the help and then set the style you want and then re-open the help and that style should persist while you use the help tool.)
- All stylesheets use only relative font sizes, compatible with the user-specified "text size" option in visual browsers
- If your browser or browsing device does not support stylesheets at all, the content of each page is still readable.
- Netscape 4.7x is partially supported. For best results, upgrade to a more recent browser or, if that is not an option, disable the use of JavaScript and style sheets in the preferences.
- This system utilizes an online help system which works via frames. A browser that can support frames is required and javascript is used for the "Coach" frame (the online help) to control the main browser window. These frames are properly titled and are Section508 compliant.
